Social Entrepreneurship - Nettle Powder

Institute for Indigenous Affairs and Development (IIAD) brings forward an innovative, sustainable, and institutional approach to support the indigenous people of Nepal to address indigenous affairs and solve the issues faced, through impact-driven projects and nurturing local knowledge, culture, and innovation in different districts of Nepal. Institute for Indigenous Affairs and Development aims to empower indigenous people and community members through Economic Development, Grassroots Movement and Advocacy, and Research and Policy Development.

One of the developmental impact model we have adopted is social entrepreneurship at local level. By working closely with local people and combining their indigenous knowledge, we create marketable and profitable product that benefits in economic and inclusive growth of our social groups.

A small project we did was on Nettle Powder in Jimling village in Nepal. We are further exploring herbal products from this indigenous communities to enhance and empower their livelihoods through social entrepreneurship.

Read our brief project plan in the embed link below :) We are open to discuss and share more on our upcoming economic empowerment projects in Nepal.
