I worked 20+ years in Bancolombia (NYSE:CIB), the leading bank in Colombia and in central america as the head of the corporate development strategy and the open innovation strategy. I led the acquisition of leading banking organizations in Central America such as Banagricola (El Salvador), BAM (Guatemala) and HSBC Panama ( Panama). I also led the design and implementation of the venture capital fund fo the bank. I have been mentor for startups in Google Launchpad, Seedstars, 500 Startups. I have acted lately as a consultant in open innovation and Venture Capital. The latest transaction I worked in was in the acquisition of Grupo Dot, and AI startup from Mercado Libre (NASDAQ:MELI). Currently, I am a founder of EMWE SAS, a startup that helps democratize the access to wellbeing in Latin America.
I am Chevening Scholar from the British Council and published poet and blogger. I have participated in the Mergers and Acquisitions Programme and in the Programme Negotiation and influencing skills for senior managers at London Business School. As well as courses in partnerships and mergers and acquisitions from Kellogg School of Management.
